Men’s Swimsuits

It is a common misconception that there is hardly any variety in mens swimwear. Men’s swimwear styles run the gamut from trunks, board shorts and jammers (providing coverage from mid-waist to above the knee) to the classic Speedo-style (i.e., miniscule) form-fitting briefs. The more daring guys can opt for the Brazilian sunga, which is popularly referred to as the mens version of a bikini; the shape of the sunga is similar to the bikini but the side is about an inch thicker.

The most popular trend last summer was the surfer-style board shorts, which flatter almost any type of figure, be it bulky or lean. Board shorts are normally longer than the basic trunks or Speedo styles and sometimes give a loose, baggy effect. Those who prefer to lounge by the poolside can ideally opt for a pair of board shorts that come with cargo pockets so that they have access to their keys, wallet and mobile phone, even by the pool.

Of course, the Speedo swimsuit remains a classic. Young men, who swear that wearing one of these skimpy little bathing suits gets them undivided female attention, prefer Speedo styles. For those men who are not quite ready for the bare-all Speedo style and yet do not like the bulkiness of the board short or jammers, there is always the basic pair of short swimming trunks, which are not quite as revealing as Speedo but have a similar support system. Boxer swimming trunks are quite popular with the older or conservative set.

Judging by the diversity of prints available in swimwear, designers predict that it is going to be a print year again next season. There is no particular print that is in vogue, though, as patterns are ranging from the Brazilian and Polynesian to the Retro, Floral and Pop Art look.

How To Give Yourself A Brazilian Bikini Wax?

Before you give yourself a brazilian bikini wax, be warned that most women don’t find it comfortable. Pulling out your pubic hair and ripping them out from the roots is not the best feeling – After all, you are dealing with your most sensitive and intimate regions. Make sure that you want to have a brazilian bikini wax – You may get a standard bikini wax or a full bikini which can cause you less damage.

The first step would be to make a long warm shower washing and cleaning your pubic area. Then, trim down your pubic hair with scissors or with a shaver till it will have a length of a quarter inch.

Use a hard wax (A low temperature one) for a less painful process. Smooth the wax with a pre-waxing oil before applying it over your hair. This oil keeps it from sticking to the skin, and allows the wax to be used without strips, making for a much more comfortable experience. As the wax cools, it basically shrink-wraps each hair and pulls it out from the root. You may remove some stubborn hair with a set of tweezers.

Use a big mirror and move into any position you think will be more comfort – put your legs up, on the sides or even over your head. If you feel the pain is unbearable stop until you feel you are ready to go on.

once you finished with the waxing process and you are happy with your brazilian bikini wax, you should apply a soothing lotion on your bikini area.

If done correctly, your pubic area will stay smooth for anywhere between 14 and 25 days. We advice you to go to a professional salon to do your first brazilian bikini wax. After watching the therapist and feeling the discomfort and pain you will be able to decide whether you wish to give yourself the next brazilian wax.

Look Slimmer In Plus Size Swimwear

When you wear the right size swimwear, you can actually look slimmer than you are. With plus size swimwear, ladies who are a little overweight can look their best and still enjoy the hot summer weather. Wearing swim wear that is too small shows out the bulges much more and makes them seem even bigger than they are. Plus size swimwear does not mean old-fashioned styles because plus size swimwear is available in all the latest fashions.

It is often hard to find plus size swim wear when you visit a regular department store. All you can find on the racks are the tiny bikinis that probably wouldnt fit around your leg. You start to wonder whether you are the only one that has this problem with the lack of plus size swimwear that is available.

There are specialty stores that do carry plus size swim wear lines for women. Because this is often a special line that the store carries each year, it is very hard to find something unique. Most of the time, the swim wear is all the same color and style. And plus size swim wear may also be very expensive and this doesnt fit in your budget. A lot of women want to find cheap plus size swimwear because they are buying it for a holiday and probably wont wear it that often when they return home.

One place where you will easily be able to find cheap plus size swimwear is at the online retailers. These retailers do not carry an inventory and most of them do not have a bricks and mortar store. When you place an order for plus size swim wear, you can get it cheap because the retailer doesnt need to have as much mark up to make a profit. One advantage of ordering your plus size swimwear online is the wide variety you have to choose from.

Online stores have plus sizes in swimwear from designers that would cost you a fortune at a regular store. This is one way you can have the latest fashions in the swim wear you choose and the prices are often so cheap, you might decide to buy two or more swimwear items. Finding plus size swimwear doesnt have to be frustrating do it at your own pace and time by shopping online.

Plus size swimwear is good looking, fits you and is cheaper online.

Heat Waves Due from Brazil this Swimsuit Season

If you’ve passed a swimsuit hanging on a rack, or touched on a swimwear website, you’ve probably noticed that Brazil is leaving no stone unturned on the beach scene this year.

Why the focus on Brazil? You’ll find the answer in a bikini-sized history lesson. In short, Brazil is urbane: almost every Brazilian lives in the fast-paced city. Tack on Brazil’s legacy from Europe — a love for high fashion that borders on religion. Now top it all off with Brazil’s 5000 miles of beach, each and every one of them filled with fashion-forward women who insist on clothes to sizzle at the scene.

Now let’s return to America. We’ve done and redone the triangle-top and string bottom. We’ve pretty much exhausted the thong — de minimis can only go so far before there’s nowhere left to go. But there’s one thing we haven’t exhausted: high glamour.

Enter Brazil, drenched in the big, heady spirit of the sixties, and the international goddesses that drove it. Think Brigitte Bardot. Or Ursula Andress, stepping out of the surf in her belted bikini to set the world on fire.

// The Colors

Just like other areas of the fashion scene, the Brazilian retrospective combines modern colors and fabric tech with unmistakable hues from the Sixties. This means bright, bright plastic white, cocktail black, and clashing fluorescents. And touches of vinyl and metal. And Mod.

// The Shapes

The old triangle top, always meant for the small-busted woman, starts to look a little blah compared to the womanly styles from Brazil, like low-slung “hipster” bottoms (especially beguiling when combined with kicky belts). You’ll find Brazilian tops emphasizing larger busts, with stabilizing lace-ups or underwire support.

// The Textures

My favorite thing about Brazilian styles are the textures, which seem exotic in our post-production, plasticized world. Brazil knows that women love the softer side of sexy — the kind that never shows up in beer commercials.

Instead of vying for minimal coverage, Brazil uses high-tech savvy to weave water-friendly crochet and macram into swim tops and bottoms. We love the macram-strung bikini bottoms — sometimes adorned by brassy buttons or shells. And we love the giant embroidered flowers (touched up with crystals), the French knots, and the hand-painted fabrics that show up on tops. But our favorite is the lycra-touched crochet pullover that goes from day to night. Wear it on the beach, then wear it again at the lounge. A feminine, crocheted top over a bikini bottom is the kind of look that hits the Richter scale.

Best of all, these styles can be dressed to the nines with a smoky shade of eye shadow and big, clunky jewelry.

// Your Mission

Did you accept the Brazilian challenge for your beach adventures this summer? Then bring in another major trend by mixing and matching tops and bottoms. Don’t be afraid to combine hot pink with orange (a hot Mod look). But then, don’t take trends too far — it’s probably best to leave your knife belt at home.
